Toowoomba Touch Association (TTA) is an incorporated, non-profit organisation conducting a Touch Football competition. The Toowoomba Touch is affiliated with the South West Queensland, Queensland Touch Association, and Touch Football Australia. Toowoomba Touch is also supported by the Toowoomba City Council as part of the Kearney’s Spring Management Committee.
Toowoomba Touch operates a large Touch complex (15 Touch fields) at the Kearney Springs Sporting Complex at the corner of Ruthven Street and Spring Street. There are 12 floodlit fields designed and built specifically for Touch Football and a modern amenities building that includes a licensed canteen and panoramic views of the Touch fields.
At the Kearney’s Spring Sporting Complex, Toowoomba Touch conducts adult touch football competitions all year round. Junior touch football competitions are operated from October through to April. Grades cater for elite and social players both in our Junior and Senior competitions.. Participants in Toowoomba Touch competitions are eligible to represent South West Queensland, Queensland and Australia. These opportunities are available to Open, Senior and Junior players.
The Toowoomba Touch Association is managed by volunteer members and part-time competition administrators attend Kearney’s Spring for competition matches. A part-time grounds person maintains the Kearney Springs fields and monitors and marks all fields on behalf of Toowoomba Touch. The Toowoomba Touch Executive Committee is elected by team delegates at the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in late January each year. At each AGM, TTA’s President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other Directors present reports on aspects of the Association’s activities during the preceding calendar year. The Committee meets on a regular basis in order to administer the various competitions taking place.
