TTA Nomination Form 2012 

BRISBANE COBRAS CUP COMPETITION – Trials will be held for all interested people on Friday 25th May at 6PM at Kearney Springs. (Competition is played on a Friday night in Brisbane commencing August for 14 weeks)    

      In the  A Grade competition the Best & Fairest for each team must be selected from the opposing team on a 3 2 1 Basis.  Also the Referees are to pick a Player of the Match.  These points will go towards the Team of the Year to be presented at the end of Year Function.

               JUNIORS - Well done to all the Toowoomba teams that competed at Redlands on the weekend.  Overall it was a good experience for all our teams, especially to those sides that made it through to the finals and also those who played in a drop off.   This weekend 27th may will be our home tornament with SWQ Trials conducted throughout the day.  The draw for this event will be available Thursday, please go to the swq touch website for full draw.  Toowoomba sides to meet at the Toowoomba tents 45 mins before there first game.  These tents will be near field 12.

                                                                                                                                   
Toowoomba Touch Association conducts Adult competitions (Men’s, Women’s and Mixed) and Junior competitions throughout the year. Grades cater for the elite player through to social players.

OVERALL INFORMATION ABOUT TOOWOOMBA TOUCH:4
Toowoomba Touch Association (TTA) is an incorporated, non-profit organisation conducting a Touch Football competition. TTA is affiliated with the South West Queensland, Queensland Touch Association, and Touch Football Australia. Toowoomba Touch is also supported by the Toowoomba City Council as part of the Kearney’s Spring Management Committee.

The TTA operates a large Touch complex (15 Touch fields) at the Kearney Springs Sporting Complex at the corner of Ruthven Street and Spring Street. There are 12 floodlit fields designed and built specifically for Touch Football and a modern amenities building that includes a licensed canteen and panoramic views of the Touch fields.

At Kearney Springs, Toowoomba Touch conducts adult competitions all year round with seasons running from January to April, April to August, and October to December. Juniors competitions are operated from January to April and October to December. Grades cater for elite and social players. Participants in TTA competitions are eligible to represent South West Queensland, Queensland and Australia. These opportunities are available to Open, Senior and Junior players.

TTA is managed by volunteer members and part-time competition administrators attend Kearney’s Spring for competition matches. A part-time grounds person maintains the Kearney Springs fields and monitors and marks all fields. The Toowoomba Touch Executive Committee is elected by team delegates at the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in late January each year. At each AGM, TTA’s President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other Directors present reports on aspects of the Association’s activities during the preceding calendar year. The Committee meets on a regular basis in order to administor the various competitions taking place.
